Open Question: Can someone help me with making a decision?

So I am a senior in high school and it is time for me to choose which college i will be attending. Well, since the summer i have been planning to go to Mississippi State's Architecture school after going to a community college for 2 years. So, a few weeks ago i got a call from the New School of Architecture and Design in San Diego, California and i found this school when i was a freshman. I wanted to go to this school so badly, but i knew out of state tuition would kill my parents financially. So i just kept on track with State, until i go the call. The lady said that New School did not do out of state tuition and it would be the same cost to attend MSU. Now i'm stuck between the schools because, my mother would be fine with whatever i chose, but my best friend is making me feel bad about wanting to go to california. We had a plan to live together during community college and then just find a place by MSU and live together there too. Now she's making me feel like crap for wanting to go to a different college. There is drawbacks and benefits to both schools: they both have the same price for tuition, MSU is closer(4 hours), with MSU i have to go to community college for 2 years anyway to get my basic credits(credits i have to have no matter what major i want), New School i can get those credits while getting Studio hours(which i cannot do at MSU). At MSU i'd know people(this can be a good thing or a bad thing) At New School i don't know anyone (Again, good thing or a bad thing) I dont know what to do. I keep seeing logos for MSU, but i was looking up some pictures and i found an advertisement for New School. I feel torn right down the middle, between playing it safe and doing soemthing different. I'm not asking for someone to make the decision for me, i just want someone to help me find a way to make the decision. At both places i can be happy, i think. I just dont know what i should do. Can someone help me?... Read More »
